i am reading the neutron star of books, dense, unfailingly digressive, and painfully dry. most of the book is actually notes detailing the thousands of exceptions to circuitously described rules in a font even more diminutive than the main text, with footnotes in a still tinier type, a fabulous morale-killer. i am not liking it. but i am ( Read more... )

i am here, but these days only passively.
so you have one of these things too. look at us with our sad parent diaries.
i finished the book long ago but am trudging through another for a different class at the same place next week.

i mow laws and pull weeds and get chased indoors or under trees by rain.

will this bee a table of contents class at rare book school? how very strange to me.

gardening and such is good for you. likewise rain.
and the class is not so very strange. history of the book, origins to 1800.

I hate to be such a beast about it, but I've only found
