Signs of Spring
So yesterday I saw the first "real" sign of Spring being here and Summer not far off. No, it wasn't those pretty little Irises and Crocuses although they're out too. It was the Ice Cream Truck! Velvet follow-up
So in my last Post I talked about how Velvet will be 14 in April and had voluntarily climbed into my lap for the first time. She did it again a few days later just before I went to FL for almost 2 weeks. I wasn't sure how that much time away would affect the progress ( Read more... ) -
Something special
So, one of my cats, Velvet, was feral born. I knew her mother, Gypsy, through half a dozen litters as we fed her and her kittens behind the store where I worked at the time. Vel was the only long-haired kitten Gypsy had and she and her sister were born on April 1st in 1998. Vel was also the least outgoing of all Gypsy's kittens. I adopted Vel ( Read more... ) -

I find it somewhat sad that only a few of the people on my friends list still post here on a semi-regular basis. Many of my friends haven't posted here for a year or more, some it's been a few months. Sure, I'm one to talk since I don't post often either--but I'm not posting anywhere else either. Snow!
Yay, there's snow today! My area here (just south of the beltway around Columbus, Ohio) hasn't had any snow this season until today. :) It's a light dusting and I'm delighted with it--perfect way to start the New Year. I know that by the end of Feb I'll probably be really over the white stuff, but today I'm happy about it! -
YEAH
I sold that queen-sized box springs today!!! I think I wrote about it before--it wouldn't fit up the stairs here, and was really nice. I'm so happy it's got a new home with people who wanted/needed it. I didn't ask much--it was probably worth more, but I'm happy with the money and it is OUT of my living room. -
Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert and Update stuff
So, LOTS to update on, but first the Trans-Siberian Orchestra show... WOW!!! While I knew several of the founders of TSO back when I lived in Tampa and worked for several of the rock bands there I had never seen them with TSO. What an AMAZING show!!!!! Worth every cent of the money the tickets cost, and next time I'll go for more expensive seats-- ( Read more... ) -
Moving chaos
So I'm officially unemployed as of Oct 9th. Then last weekend I went to the last Festival of the season at Wisteria and immediately afterwards went to sign my new lease in Ohio with my friend Jeff who was assisting me in the move.
