Okay, on the one hand, Dead!Fraser, waaahhh! BUT as Ray points out, it's not like he hasn't pretty much asked for it a million times, so there ya go.

And then there's this:

...and Ray let himself relax a little, even with the world's most obnoxious ghost in the back seat.

Glee! Of course Fraser is just as annoying as a haunt as he was when he was corporeal. I suspect that's a family trait, as well...

I really liked the easy, matter-of-fact way this ends. :)

Wah! I'm all conflicted! It's Ray/Ray, and I love Ray/Ray with a deep passion, but poor Fraser. He's dead and Dief and both the Rays are sad about that. Oh, and me too. I'm sad about that too, but hey, the people (and wolf-dog) left alive are going to be just fine and that makes me happy. *flails*

To be honest I wrote this going "But -- but would anyone read this? Would I read this? I killed Fraser!" so I absolutely hear you on the being conflicted thing. I'm glad to know that it was also happy-making, though. Thanks! <3

OH this was a lovely kind of painful.

I nearly cried when Ray said he'd keep Dief.

And the progression of the relationship really hit in a good way.

I don't read a lot of DS these days. But boy, am I glad I read this. What a wonderful, hopeful, entertaining, heart-breaking, life-affirming story!

All of them are so...perfect. Damaged. Needy. Wonderful. Even Dief.

I applaud you. This one is a keeper.
