One of my favourites in this fandom is "Hawks and Hands" by Dira Sudis (who I think may be dsudis on LJ?), also known as "the Hockey AU" throughout Due South fandom I think.

I'm rubbish at making pretty links I'm afraid so the best I can do is: http://dira.ficlaundering.com/ds/hockey/. (definitely F/K and Fraser/Smithbauer and potentially other pairings I think. I'm less than halfway through it at the moment and I can't remember all the pairings. Sorry :()

I'm in the middle of rereading it now and thoroughly enjoying it all over again. It's a brilliant read and perfect for whiling away the time when you've got several hours to spare.

(Please let me know if I've linked to the correct place. The AO3 link I tried first took forever to load so I went in search of a quicker link).

IMO, Kat Allison's End of the Road is one of the best due South stories I've ever read. It ate my brain for days. But- word of caution- it is also by far the most depressing thing I've read in due South (more depressing than zombies or the apocalypse) and should not be read by people who are feeling emotionally vulnerable. The link to this gorgeously written, perfectly believable, and utterly heartbreaking story is: http://www.kat.mrks.org/eotr_main.htm.
