I think that cold and teeth chattering thing is standard.
I had that carry on long after delivering ben, but then,
he required two spinals and that could have been
a contributing factor.

but you're all home and happy now and that's all good.

Great story. I'm so glad you had a much better experience this time around and got a little of that birth magic. :)

What a great story. It brought back so many memories.

One thing I remember the most was feeling sick when the spinal hit my stomach area, but that passed soon enough, and the sensation of being able to tell when the medication was moving up the spinal column. Afterwards they gave me some kind of 'twilight' drug, but I do remember them 'counting sponges'. that was strange.

Great story. Thanks for sharing it.

Oh Dorota. The birth story is so beautiful. I'm a 6AM blubbering, crying mess.

That makes two of us!!!

Dorota, I'm SO happy for you. What a wonderful experience (aside from the IV From Hell) for you this time! You certainly deserved it. I BET the spinal was nothing compared to this. I'm saving this to my memories, b/c so many of the things you describe are just how I remember them...except I didn't get to hold them in the room. And they went out before me. :)

Give that baby some kisses and cuddles from me!
