You haven't seen the Iron Man movies, right? You should. The first movie is the one film I would use to teach people how is it you make superhero origin movies. And Jon Favreau is my kind of director/writer -- the funny parts are inherent to the storyline, he doesn't set out to make a comedy, it's just that humor is part of life, even when you're dying. And the movie has heart, which a lot of people wouldn't ever fathom in a film about an unlikable rich white dude. The second movie is not as perfect, but it follows the same ethos.

I liked the movie without being in love without, but I jumping from the fannish glee and all the new shiny fannish things, and all the fun :)))
