I am going to Autocrat's Day Off. The baroness called me today. I had had an idea for Practicum 2010 to do a course for beginning bards - that would include some tips, but mostly involve them trying things (because in life, and especially bardic, we learn by doing). However, now I'm doing this course at Autocrats

hire a sitter for the day and bring them..I have paid for the child minder to get into an event and they don't have to work for me all day, just when needed

That's an idea, although I don't have room in the car to bring one. We are both out of practice with regards to archery, so I suspect that having to take turns supervising a 3 year old ont he range will not affect our performance.

The plan is to get the almost 7 year old into archery - at Pikeman's, then Pennsic, then Bowstrings. Last year at the Children's fete (at Pennsic) she spent an hour doing archery with suction cup arrows. She's take her turn, then get back in line.

you could always ask the autocrat for names of babysitting age kids going to the event
