My stuff is home.  The clean-up process now begins.  Now it's time to unpack (so that I can re-pack).  After sleeping away my entire Sunday, I awaken to discover that--can it be?--something is different.  It's over.  It's finally over.  With that, I can call one full quarter of my year wrapped up.

Sakana took about ten weekends and two straight ( Read more... )

First... if you ever have serious car trouble like that on the playa, see if folks in camp Skynyrd in gigsville are bored enough to want to work on it. so many of them spend their days (and nights) just sitting around drinking beer and watching the nuttiness of the playa go by after having spent a week or more trying to get vehicles to go 200+ mph out at Bonneville, that trying to get a vehicle to chug along at 5 mph for awhile could easily be a cute afternoon project for them.

second... seriously... working long days in the desert is a horrible way to spend your time much less your vacation, so think about it

""best!"" is indeed accurate.

who the hell woke me up? was that you? was that tom? i still have no idea how the hell that happened. all i know is that one minute i was face-down in my tent. the next, i was driving to DMV at night with the SJ crew.

definitely the best year I've had out there, can't wait to be out again. Since SJ isn't (crosses fingers) going to need quite the extensive rebuild for next year, I'd love to come out and help with Jabba in what ways I can :D

awesome! would love more able hands on deck.

jabba2.0 will be a bit of a coordination act. i'll be living in SF. depending on how things go, i may even try a stint with DPW for a while. i may work on some bits of jabba up there. we may work on some bits down here. we'll start figuring it out early in winter. do you ski/snowboard? let's chat on the slopes!

dude, i grew up in East Texas. Snow is a terrifying act of god that is highly unnatural :P

Also, winter is a good time for me to spend in financial recovery from the ridiculousness from the rest of the year ;)

Keep me informed, I'm not going anywhere for a while.
