fuck PCI up the nose.

my bank started using the PCI standards of "change your password every 90 days" and "can't use any of the previous past 4 passwords"
(okay. making account holders change their accounts that often isnt in the spec, but that's still their idea of password security)

as i am skimming through the email backlog sent while i was out, i realize another advantage of heading out early

missing all the really silly arguments that happen the week before the event

reading all the cell phone arguments is much more entertaining after the fact
 

last night was pretty damn lucky

i had the engine on the van totally seize up
and i got pulled over

i was 99.9% packed and decided before going to bed i'd take it on a test run to let things settle, see if things on the roof needed adjusting.  i've gotten much better at getting the roof secure and not needing to adjust over the years, but i figured it ( Read more... )

 there are two tarps outside my van, a bike next to it, and a bunch of rebar totally put away that i'm not even thinking about well.
