what i'm forgetting

there are two tarps outside my van, a bike next to it, and a bunch of rebar totally put away that i'm not even thinking about well.

but, i think that's it.    like usual, the stuff that filled up at the end was more than i expected.   i wonder how it will affect the weight and driving.

driving around from 12-3 today up to orange wasn't too bad, so ( Read more... )

I think I found a few 12' 4x4s in the back yard. I'm not sure yet that I want to burn them up. I probably do.

Did you get those extra bungee balls? I can't think of anything other than those or wooden stakes (I can grab) that we've forgotten.

I'm just sad there's no roof burrito. I saw a mini-van with a tarp covered mess on the roof the other day, and my first thought was "ROOF BURRITO".

I might have an issue.

there's no roof burrito, but the roof is actually pretty interesting.

it's covered in oddly shaped 1" thick cardboard cutouts

scarily i'm about to go and purchase some of those bungee web things that i think you gave to me because they were so horrible to deal with to hold them down

i can't really think of another way. the tarp would be awkward, plus i'm hoping to see the effects of extended 70mph winds on the cardboard. and hoping that cleans off some of the moopier making edges.

if it looks like a disaster when i get there, i may burrito it up on the 447 so the gate person doesn't give me shit :)

I have this thing we call a "hamburger" because that's what my friend Brad thinks it looks like. It's a rooftop carrier that's basically just a giant bag. It might work better for odd cardboard... I can loan it to you if you want. Are you carpooling from Theory or leaving directly from Chez Toi?

1) i might be that gate person!

2) i had a very similar experience today. it's always the little things that pile up to take up the most room. where the heck are those 4 cases of energy drink going to go? oh. right. 120lbs of propane has to go somewhere. and food. food would be good.

i drive out tomorrow with a prolonged stop in reno. perhaps we'll cross paths.
