I won't be able to donate platelets again until January 2010. Sadness. My travels to Vietnam last December put me in an at-risk area for malaria. =( But they gave me my 1-gallon pin, yay! Though I'm not sure if I fully earned it...did I already reach one gallon the last time I donated, or would this time have put me past the mark? Hrm ( Read more... )

For a second I almost gaped because I read 1 million, not 1 gallon.
I was like, holy crap!
Even though that didn't indicate units... 1 million anything would be a lot.

I would think that your weight and height would bar you from donating...but I guess they never stopped you. Yay for one million gallons!

pshhhh =P well it stopped me back in high school. I was under the weight requirement or like JUST at it, so I never bothered trying. so I'd like to thank ucla dining halls and the city of los angeles for allowing me to access amazing food and gain my freshman 15. =)
