Post-it notes: all the cool moms are wearing them

Apr 01, 2008 21:47

I've accepted that I've entered a stage of pre-senility (I call it motherhood) or developed an adult form of ADD (aka motherhood). A short time ago I got up to go get something from my bedroom. By the time I'd gotten there -- a distance of maybe fifteen feet-- I'd forgotten what I went to the bedroom to get. I stood there for a while with, I'm ( Read more... )

I don't have kids, so what's my excuse? ;)

Um...well... you have to deal with kids at the library, right? It could be catching. Or just make up your own excuse. Anything goes as far as I'm concerned. I'm only blaming the kid because I don't want to think it's age. And because I can ;-)

It's a communicable disease. Adults catch it from kids, and teenagers are more virulent.

Oh, crap. I'm doomed, I tell you! Dooooomed!

I FEEL YOU SO HARD,

I always said that I pushed half my mind out with each kid. Two kids = nothing left over for me.

The clear solution is to have post-its in every room in the house. The 3M company can thank me later.

Honestly, I've taken to leaving notepads and pens in every room. And I really wish I had a few shares of 3M stock. At least I'd get some of my money back that way.

Welcome to my world *g*. With the rider that I've LONG since abandoned post-its -- I now write on my hands, on the principle that I cannot misplace them/forget to take them with me/put them down somewhere and potter off without them. It usually works when I remember the pen...

I have occasionally resorted to writing on myself but I'm afraid to do it too often. Given the amount of reminders I need, I'm afraid I'll develop some weird case of ink poisoning ;-)

Yup. Time is a bitch. I do that too. And I wake up for an hour and a half most nights :o(

The only problem I have with sleeping is finding the time to do it. If I woke up every night...well, I'd be a very cranky girl.

I feel your pain.

But I've been blaming peri-menopause.

Actually, peri-menopause would be appropriate for me, too, but it's more fun to blame the kid ;-)
