Today is my two-year anniversary with Chris.

Today he said to me, "Next year, let's celebrate our anniversary in our apartment."

December, I didn't see you coming. Job hunting again, moving again, feeling listless again... I was hoping to end 2010 on a high note. I was hoping to have some of my future figured out in time for the new year. Instead, I think January One will still mean Square One for me.

I just finished reading The Amber Spyglass, the third in Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy. It is painfully, heartbreakingly wonderful, and beautifully written, and I simultaneously want to hug and punch the author for being able to write something so sad and so perfect at the same time ( Read more... )

I'm in the process of moving my life again, slowly but surely, this time down to Maryland. In an hour or two I'll be on the road (just myself, this time) down to Marissa and Dan's.
