Just because people don't come through every single time doesn't mean they aren't good friends... 300 miles is no small distance for a high-schooler. It is not an ideal world we're living in. Relaaaxxxxx. If it were that simple then you'd have a lot more visits.

It's not that. It's the fact that they all said they would and could when they didn't even plan on trying. I wouldn't have expected something like that from someone unless they had gone and promised they would do it.

And if they had made the effort, that would be different. Pam couldn't go, so nobody else decided to bother. Pam has that power over them, because they can't do anything for themselves and they have been followers for as long as I can remember.

Yet it would be much different if you promised you would and then you never even bothered.

Here's a fun fact: The only person who actually had the guts to notify me that they were not going to do it was Pam. The rest of them just forgot me alltogether while I sat there waiting.

I have never broken a promise to you, and I have driven from rochester to duluth, and rochester to apple valley about a hundred times so I know this isnt about me

I've driven to Duluth from Rochester to pick you up, and then drive you back to Rochester, then drive you home to Duluth, and then drive myself back to rochester. I've driven 16 hours for you in one weekend!! i find it hard to believe that people can't even visit you from apple valley. that sounds lazy and selfish to me. and if you're lazy and selfish, then i guess you shouldn't be promising anyone anything, huh?
