I think I really liked it a lot. I thought it was interesting how he had to remove himself from society to quell the violence within him. I've been thinking a lot about violence and film lately because of my recent Sam Peckinpah fascination. I also really loved all the shots of Hunter's bedroom at night--it reminded me of Big and my brother's belongings from that period. But I ultimately didn't get to reflect on it too much because I went to see The Deer Hunter right after which pretty much knocked me out, mentally.

I'm really glad you saw Paris, Texas! What did you think of it?
