I'm not sure if this happens everywhere (and I feel pretty dumb if it does and I just didn't notice till now), but here at least it always gets really hot and awful right before it rains. This happened a few days ago, so I was caught in the rain sans umbrella. Normally this would be okay, but for some reason it just made me feel extra pathetic

Yes, it does get hot and sticky just before it rains. And it gets cold and dry just before it snows. Much as I love to bitch about the weather here, I don't think I'd like living for very long in a place without seasons. The grass is great.

When I left home for good, I was relieved to get away from my chaotic and dysfunctional family, but it still took a month or so not to be homesick.
