according to dictionary.com,

"to expel air forcibly from the mouth and nose in an explosive, spasmodic involuntary action resulting chiefly from irritation of the nasal mucous membrane"

is the definition of a sneeze.

how dramatic is that?

you're so right. laura and i talked about sneezes for awhile... such a weird and unexpected gesture only to be blessed by those around. it's kind of touching.

lol. your finding of the defination of a sneeze inspired me to finally, after many many years, look up the definatin of a hiccup. what the hell is a hiccup anyways? god. their so annoying. lol well i have found out!

"A spasm of the diaphragm resulting in a rapid, involuntary inhalation that is stopped by the sudden closure of the glottis and accompanied by a sharp, distinctive sound."

i agree with you. dictionary dot com is really dramatic!

hahahaha that was awesome!!!
sneezing is sort of neat because it's a sudden tension that NEEDS to be relieved. think about that sensation of a sneeze that just won't come out.. it's the worst! when it does come out though, it's such a relief. i don't mind it.
but HICCUPS are another story. they're definitely annoying!!
