Still October, just barely

I swear I'm voting for Barbara "Babs" Bush & Colin Powell. Donald Trumplestiltskin is a buffoon and Hitlery Clinton is a crook and a National socialist, and none of the others  seem to be real persons. Nuts to them all.

More stuff, possibly even finishing off the Last Stack of Books that lurks near at hand. So here we go ...

Not a great deal, but it's mentioned. From the index:

DuMont, broadcasts by, 291, 295
and industry standards, 268
DuMont, Allen, 324

So let's see what they say:

pg 291 "By the end of 1939 ... In the New York area, DuMont was broadcasting out of Passaic, New Jersey, with imminent plans for a New York City station ..."

pg 295 July 1941 "... DuMont continued their noncommercial broadcasting of film and live programming."

pg 268 1936 "... RCA and Farnsworth were both operating with systems of 441 lines and thirty frames per second. But Philcon was pushing for 605 lines and twenty-four frames, and DuMont insisted on 625 lines and fifteen frames."

pg 324 June 1941 "Allen DuMont, one of the industry leaders who had been suspicious of Sarnoff's promises, jumped on the bandwagon, announcing that RCA color was 'good enough to start commercial programs immediately.'"

As I said, not so much as they could have done, really.
