Well, here we are three months on and what's up with that? Nothing, is what. The stack of books I had sitting by my side here never seemed to get any shorter, and finally I decided to just blow it off. Checking the three LJ pages just now that I usually visit, and I find one has not been updated since last May, and the other two went quiet in November. I swear I'm voting for Barbara "Babs" Bush & Colin Powell. Donald Trumplestiltskin is a buffoon and Hitlery Clinton is a crook and a National socialist, and none of the others  seem to be real persons. Nuts to them all.

Jefferson Himself: The Personal Narrative of a Many-Sided American, by Bernard Mayo (1942; reprt 1972) - a biography, almost an autobiography, based on the enormous amount of written material he left. Interesting to see how the history of his time worked out from his point of view.
