Many hard lessons have been learned tonight. I obviously offended a lot of people on FurAffinity and LiveJournal with my bratty, selfish behavior, and I might have even lost a couple friends over it (though I hope it's not too late to repair those friendships

Well done. :) I'm quite proud of you here. Without meaning to sound the least bit rude or obnoxious or cutting...you're growing up. It is a welcome sight.

I didn't think the Easter thing was that bad at all. It was clearly all in good fun.

Anyway, while I really like seeing that you're becoming more mature here, you need to remember not to throw away ALL of who you are-- including the bad parts. Who you were should still be part of who you're going to be. Don't get lost in a character.

I'll send you a longer and more formal reply later, but I am very sorry to have left you such a harsh PM. It had to be done, though, and I had been holding my tongue for months because I was afraid a drama-bomb would land directly on my doorstep.

Saying it gently might not have had such the big impact it sounds... I'm glad I did it harsh. It hurts to have to tell a friend that what they're doing is not the best course of action. It probably hurts more to be on the receiving end. But, I have learned, by being on both ends of situations like this, if it is not done harshly the target does not learn.

I told you everything not because I wanted to hurt you, but because I want you to improve as a human being.

After reading this entry, I am willing to work a friendship back... but it will take time.

Don't feel too bad about this. I mean, yes, it's proper to apologize now that you've seen things in a new light and all that. But it's also an exciting break through isn't it? I believe this is a big key to some doors that have seemed closed to you until now. I'm glad you found it. *hugs*
