I am all set to have a baby tomorrow at 4:30 pm!!! This is so crazy!

OK, so it is day 3 in the hospital. I saw the doctor again this morning and nothing really has changed. He congratulated me on keeping it in there and 'beating the odds' - I guess most women go into labor within 24 hours of water breaking. My water broke this morning. It was a slow leak and at first I thought it was just pee but I went in to get checked and it was totally amniotic fluid. I'm in the hospital now being monitored but there are no other signs of labor. They are giving me antibiotics because they don't know about my strep group b status. I feel like my calender is soooo full for the next month. This weekend and possibly parts of the next two weekends I need to work some overtime to get ready for our big users conference on the 29th-31st. Another appointment today, this time with the specialist - well, with his office anyway. The baby is measuring 5 lbs 4oz - a little ahead of schedule, which is good since we're doing this whole thing a week early. I had my 32-week checkup (actually at 33 weeks) yesterday and this whole baby thing is getting so close. My c-section was rescheduled for a week earlier than previous estimates - I will be a mom by the 16th of November. That is like 6 weeks away - crazy ( Read more... )
