Don't say that anteros_114 September 30 2005, 19:38:47 UTC
"I wonder if my father know that Im in the army or that Im here in Iraq, oh well it doesnt matter because nothing I did was evergood enough for him. But I know that Im ten times the man he will ever be."

Do you really think that?

Anger is a killing thing: it kills the man who angers, for each rage leaves him less than he had been before - it takes something from him.

How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it.

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.

I'm not angry, I do not resent or feel hatred towards my father I just pity him and his closed mindedness. I wish he could understand me and the way I think, but instead his mind is stuck in the past holding on to beliefs that no longer be applied to todays world. A privilege to live? No you are not completely correct in this statement. People grieve when a child dies, but should we really be grieving or should we be rejoicing. To die and innocent young death and escape the evil to which mankind is heir to, that evil which daily must be scourged from our weak shells. All these privileges that you speak of breathing, thinking, enjoying, loving are usually used to ensure our survival and usually at the expense of others and all for what? So that we can come to the same inevitable conclusion, Death. Death is the only truth, the only guarantee, the one true Precious Privilege.
