OPA Week 2 (April 5th - April 11th)

Welcome to another week of OPA!  How's the exercise and/or eating healthy coming?  Spring is totally in the air here (temps reached 82 last week, trees are budding, baseball has started) and before you know it, it will be beach weather -- okay you Californians, it's always beach weather there I guess!  But that's even more of an incentive to get ( Read more... )

Last week went pretty well. Ate pretty well and walked 3 days. (Not bad since I worked late 4 days)
This week (today) started pretty crappy. We had a birthday party for someone today and I ate junk food and didn't punch out till 7:20, so I did not walk. I will be back on the ball tomorrow. Promise!

Speaking of baseball...the Pirates are undefeated! They won their season opener today!

i walked round ikea for three hours with my mum. i think it pretty much destroyed my soul, so that should be a little bit of weight lost, right? ;o)

You can get lost walking around Ikea! And of course you have to avoid the cafeteria and the Swedish meatballs.

I was kinda bad over Easter weekend, cause I had some candy. But I did walk to the pizza place once, which is about 4 blocks all together. I haven't done any exercise yet this weekend. Dinner this week is chili. That's pretty healthy, I think, as long as I don't eat too much at once. It has tomatoe juice and crushed tomatoes, so it has plenty of veggie content.

I had a drinkable strawberry yogurt thingy and choco granola for breakfast, a slice of bbq chicken pizza, Caesar salad, and choco Protein Monster Odwalla shake for lunch, and a bowl of chili for dinner. Oh, and 3 small squares of dried ginger in dark choco bar.

I like chocolate.

It's so late in the week, I can't remember whatall I've eaten since my last post. Bad mims...

Mr. mims and I went to the sushi place for lunch yesterday because they're celebrating Sakura (cherry blooms festival) all week so they have specials that aren't on the regular menu. We shared chicken teriyaki sticks, beef yakaturi, steamed dumplings and cheesecake with cherry topping. That last one many have pushed my carb counts out of line just a tad, but it was sooooo good.

Exercise is harder to come by as the orthotic insoles I've got make walking painful in a different way than the heel spur they're supposed to alleviate. It didn't help that I sat on my butt the entire spring break so now I'm having to break in the orthotics again. But I did spend a lovely hour at the garden center yesterday buying plants, so that counts. 8-D Too bad they can't go in the ground until the weekend. Chance of snow tonight... o.O

Not so good with the eating the last couple of days, but I totally walked until my heel spur hurt. Walked to get sushi again yesterday, walked all over taking pictures of the trees and flowers today. Walked buying groceries. Yep. Lots of walking. And I tried to limit carbs but sometimes... Will do better starting tomorrow. Promise.
