OPA Wednesday, August 22, 2012 breakfast - 1 cup regular Cheerios with 2% milk and blueberries, 2 cups of coffee lunch - mac and cheese dinner - sweet potato fries snack - a few cheeries as I was cleaning them, a few Annie's white cheddar bunnies, 1 cup of grapefruit juice, 1 peanut butter sandwich girl scout cookie, 1 dark chocolate small easter egg (yeah, I still have a few of these in the candy dish).
activity 40 minutes on the exercise bike
commentary it's back in the 90s so I know some cooking is going to be a challenge, but I've got to make a pot of soup either tonight or tomorrow - I pulled the remaining turkey leg out of the freezer, I have celery and carrots and noodles to cook up, so I think I'll be making some soup that should last me for several days.
Breakfast Kashi Cereal bar, 1/2 cup peach yogurt, 2 cups green tea
Lunch Lean Cuisine Chicken Enchilada, 2 T Newman's Own Salsa, lettuce and tomato salad with fresh lemon juice, sparkling water
Planned:
Dinner shitake, romaine, etc. (same as Tuesday lunch except I'll add some grated parmesan), fresh ginger spritzer
Snacks frozen fruit bar and an apple
Comments: I walked to the Food Co-op and back (1.6 miles total); it was a bit slow coming back with a bag of groceries, but I made it, and lots of housework. Planning a trip to my neighborhood farmer's market tomorrow as well.
OPA Thursday, August 23, 2012 breakfast - 1 cup regular Cheerios with 2% milk and blueberries, 2 cups of coffee (are you sensing a pattern here? I still have a bunch of frozen blueberries because I went crazy buying them when they were on sale) lunch - salad snack - a few Annies white cheddar bunnies dinner - mac and cheese snack - I'm thinking of having something, maybe a fudge bar, or maybe more bunnies, or maybe just a beer
activity 20 minutes on the exercise bike
commentary/addendum I forgot the beer I had yesterday, so that should get included with yesterday's snack/dinner. Some of the activity I've done since Sunday is also playing with the puppy, chasing the puppy, picking up the puppy (you get the picture)...but for all the exercise she's giving me, I get loving, and cuddles and get my toes cleaned and nibbled at the end of the day.
Oh, I forgot yesterday that I had the leftover juice from the mandarin oranges. And last night I had a handful of grapes and about a 1/3 cup of the bunnies.
open faced turkey sandwich on dark whole grain bread, 1 T. light mayo, mustard, lettuce
Planned
Dinner
6 oz. fresh salmon with fresh lemon, 1/2 cup couscous, steamed broccoli with 1 T. light mayo mixed with lemon juice and 1 T. capers and minced green onions, 1 glass white wine
Comments I made it to the farmer's market and parked about 1/2 mile away, so 1 mile plus walking through the market three times scoping out my purchases and running errands. I am still not walking enough, but I can say that I can walk more quickly now without getting embarrassingly winded. I brought home some fresh salmon (the vendor is very funny and as he packed it, he winked and said, "Be careful. It was swimming yesterday."), zucchini, red leaf lettuce, and broccoli. Continuing -- cleaning up and cleaning out the house. Lots of recycling done, quite a bit more to go though.
