OPA Monday 8/27

Breakfast

Kashi cereal bar, 1/2 c. peach yogurt, apple, black coffee

Lunch

1/2 can Wild Planet tuna, minced onion, lemon, on romaine w/ 2 T light vinaigrette, sparkling water, 1 plum

Dinner

beef (4 oz lean, trimmed skirt steak) and broccoli w/ oyster sauce over 1/2 cup steamed white rice, fresh ginger spritzer

Snack

frozen fruit bar

Activities: housework, moving boxes, many trips up and down the stairs, 1 mile walk at 4:30, more housework to come tonight. I have lots of energy today and many things to get accomplished over the next two weeks.

Just wanted to tell you Chris changed his double major to Political Science and Sociology, instead of international relations. (He is sick of taking Spanish)

posting what i've been eating and doing is not going to help anyone (especially not the chinese buffet for lunch today) :o) suffice to say that once baby is born and things have settled down a bit i intend to take him for lots of walks in the nice fresh air along the river by our (soon to be, hopefully) new house.

OPA Tuesday 8/28

Breakfast

spinach, mushroom, onion frittata, 1 piece whole wheat toast, black coffee

Lunch

cup of vegetarian chili, lettuce and tomato salad dressed with lime juice and tomato salsa, apple juice spritzer

Dinner

leftover beef and broccoli to which I added additional steamed broccoli, 4 oz. sablefish, steamed with ginger, garlic and soy sauce, 1/2 cup steamed basmati, 2 cups jasmiine tea

Planned

Snack

an apple, herb tea

Comments: I'll be eating that frittata for a couple of more days for breakfast -- I made a smaller one in an 8" skillet. 1 mile walk at 4:30, lots of work around the house.

OPA Tuesday, August 28, 2012
breakfast - 1 cup regular Cheerios with 2 % milk and blueberries; 1 1/2 cups coffee
lunch - celery with peanut butter
snack - grapes
dinner - turkey soup with noodles
snack - vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and slivered almonds

activity
not much today - didn't ride the exercise bike at all, just played with the pup

commentary
I'm still losing a little weight on my puppy diet, though I know I need the exercise and I'm hoping to get Riley to go walking on a regular basis next week - after the last of her shots tomorrow and after our first puppy class on Sunday!

OPA Wednesday 8/29

Breakfast

fritatta, 1/2 pink grapefruit, black coffee

Lunch

turkey sandwich (lettuce, 1 T. light mayo, 2 t. mustard), apple, water

Dinner

Stouffers Stuffed Green Peppers, ginger spritzer

Snack

frozen fruit bar

Comments: cleaned the house, went to campus and walked about 1/2 mile, cleaned the office; I am on the fourth floor and ran errands at work so walked up and down the stairs 3 x

I hadn't planned to weigh in until Saturday, but my scale is still at the office, so I weighed myself today. Drum roll, please -- I have lost 7 pounds. In one way, it doesn't seem like much, but I know that I will be "slimming" for the whole year so I think it's a reasonable start and am happy about it.
