Heroes pulls out copywright Infringement

Last week I finished the extraordnarily devastating fucked-up graphic novel "Watchmen".  This rather bleak novel, of super-hero wannabes, features a villian of unbelievable philanthropic goals.  He will save the world through a disaster that in 1984 was a monstrously accurate premonition of what would eventually happen in New York City 17 years ( Read more... )

Knowing that you refuse to touch Heroes, I thought it would be a shame for you not to know the above similarities.

But on that note - I read Watchmen. That's a freakin' dense Graphic novel. I remember reading Blankets (which felt larger) in a matter of hours - but this book took weeks.

Still not sure what I think, or what the book was even saying. Maybe if I go learn more about Alan Moore I will understand better. The ending just blew my brain. And I amazed at the fact that he kept coming back to that comic book stand and the world that surrounded it. Seemingly unrelated story that slowly endears us to the normal citizens of New York so when the unconceivable happens . . .

I - I'm still flabbergasted. It took me a week to even be able to try talking about it.
