Notes: I am deeply indebted to fahye for allowing me to borrow various concepts and people from fortuna fugit for use in this episode. I dearly hope this satisfies, darlin'. <3
That was absolutely gorgeous. Couldn't breathe while reading the paragraphs when the Doctor plays the psallopiano, it was so good. Agh, and the mirror of the eyai and the Time Lords and the Master and Donna was brilliant. Also the rest of it, but I've run out of synonyms for "freaking good."
i know he loves the master (as indeed, do we all), but really - how annoying to find its him again. the man just won't die.
love the whole world (the doctor should travel in space more often) and the doctor's cocky assurance that he can play the piano, no problem, and then his reaction to it when he does. your doctor voice is perfect. all the voices are great, obviously, but the doctor is particularly tennant word perfect. i remember being struck by it a whole year ago in season four. often you can hear the doctor in people's fic, but in yours i couldn't not hear him - if that makes any sense at all.
anyway, very much looking forward to the doctor and the master interacting :)
p.s. i'm also very glad the ood's song ending prophecy is being given some sort of significance too, rahter than just being a general baggy metaphor. you're just - wonderful, really.
That does indeed make sense! It also fills me with glee. The Doctor's the only one I can write without thinking "Wait, but does it actually sound like x?" (This would be the real reason I was terrified Ten might regenerate. Who would I write then??)
I think the Doctor probably resigned himself to the Master always coming back when the gun ran out of regenerations and still wouldn't quit. I mean, it was the first thing he thought of when Martha told him there was another Time Lord. XD
