Notes: I am deeply indebted to fahye for allowing me to borrow various concepts and people from fortuna fugit for use in this episode. I dearly hope this satisfies, darlin'. <3
This is really beautiful and the Doctor was brilliantly himself again. I hope we see Will again, he was a lovely original addition to the story. The last two paragraphs gave me massive chills.
Here are some bits of lines I like (I was going to keep track but I kind of got distracted by how FABULOUS this is so there aren't as many as actually stopped me in the act of reading):
The opposite of reassurance is punishment
what his other self did, what Davros said and Sarah Jane said and Rose said and Donna had no chance to say.
You are doing our and ... and ... and! <3<3<3
& I love when you invent universe-details. And your Doctor voice is SO GOOD it's audible!
a;lksdfjalskjflksdjaf you explained eyai
(pause for swooning)
He says, "How much bigger?"
"Very," the Doctor says.
Will simply stands there for a long moment, gazing around him. He says, "I see. It's like the music."
*dying slowly*
oh my Goddd
the characters and the music and EVERYTHING, oh, WOW, wow, wow
Brief Latin crit: automata is already plural (from the neuter singular automatum), so automatia is wrong :( (Also, if automata were in fact feminine singular, the plural would then be automatae.)
Your brief Latin crit is correct and I should be ashamed of adding i's where none dare tread.
Your observation of the and ... and ... and structure makes me laugh wildly and possibly shake you and Fahye (& Emma?) for destroying my ability to make normal people sentences.
*CRIES* I read episode 1 in the morning and decided to check the site again on unfounded hope. BUT THERE IT WAS.
OMG, I LOVE the writing: the music, the raw aftermath of S4, the last line "...heavens split wide and in that second, somewhere in the universe, there is another Time Lord."

p.s. dear captive audience! The fic Aria linked to is basically life-changingly amazing and if you liked this world/its characters, you should read it.
