A little while ago, vampiresetsuna requested that I gave her some Snape/Hermione fanfiction recommendations, and here they are. It's a long list of recommendations, which I have taken from the Snape/Hermione threads at White Flag; I compiled all the recs that I and my other fellow SS/HG 'shippers at the board had given over time

This is a great list. I have read about 2/3rd of this List, can't wait to read the others.

As a Hr/S aficionado, I was wondering if you recognized this fic:

A Marriage Law fic, where Hermione fights the ministry by hiding muggle born witches in the portraits.

It is generally a friendship fic, and a great one, but for the life of me I can't remember the title.

I thought I had saved it on my computer to read again but I guess not. Do you know the fic? And its title?

I'm glad to hear that you find my list useful. :D And thank you for friending me, by the way. :P

As for the Marriage Law fanfic story: I have read quite a few of the fics written for that challenge, but sadly, I cannot recall a story where Hermione was hiding Muggle-born witches in the portraits. :( It's been quite a while since I last read some SS/HG fanfiction, so it may be a newer story that I've never had the pleasure of setting my eyes upon. But it'll most likely be hosted at Ashwinder, where nearly all of the Marriage Law challenge fics that I've read are hosted. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. :s

First of all, thank you for your kind words - I'm glad to hear that you find my list useful. :) I must say, though, you're the third person in a month's time who is posting here and asking me something fanfic-related, which makes me wonder whether someone posted the link to this list on a discussion board somewhere. Not that I mind (not at all!), I just found myself wondering about that. :)

As for the Marriage Law fanfic story that you mentioned, I'm sorry to report that I have never read it. :( I took a moment to Google it, however (using keywords like 'Hermione' + 'Marriage Law' + 'Aberforth' + 'Snape'), and I stumbled upon a thread on Yahoo! Answers where you asked people about the Marriage Law fanfic as well. Someone has responded to you there (click here), claiming that they had found the fanfic that you had been looking for. I hope that that indeed is the fic that you had been looking for, and if not, then I wish you the best of luck with your further search of it. :)

I think people probably just assumed with the awesome list you put together that you had more knowledge than the average person! I just found you through google while searching out Hermione/Snape fics.

Thanks for your fast response - after this quick response on Yahoo!, I think I'm going to use it more in the future. I don't think this is the same fic I was referring to, but it is also one I have read and very good. Anyway, sorry to bombard you with a fic rec and thank you again for this list. It really is wonderful.

If you do find this, can you please respond to this thread? I have vivid memories of the story you're talking about but have forgotten the title and most of the plot details. I just remember the most distasteful bits--the ones about Aberforth among them. :) Thank you for bringing this story back to mind!
