It has been a long time in coming, but at long last I am leaving my position as teller at USBank. There are a number of factors contributing to me leaving, but i think that the biggest one is that i feel like i need to move on with my life. While not technically correct, it captures the essence of my situation: on Friday morning we had five full-time tellers and one part-time teller, and by eleven o'clock this morning we were down to three full-time and one part-time. Well, Prologue 1 is fully complete with the final touches of Page 4 done. Its been a couple weeks, but i've managed to tell a complete story in graphic-novel/webcomic format for the first time ever (for me). Well page #3 is now done! Basically 90% of the strip was done in one sitting...starting at about noon today and running until eight. I did do the sketches for two of the panels on sunday, but that's the only thing that i had already finished by the time i started today. Well, to anyone that said that it couldn't be done...its finished. Page 1 of Rainstorm has been scripted, storyboarded, drawn, and fully colored. I'm rather proud of it myself and it didn't take me anywhere near as long as i'd expected. Yesterday i ran one of the best games i think i've ever done. It was one of those beautiful moments were everything seemed to work almost perfectly and everyone was in the "zone" at the same time. This just isn't working. I finished the pencil-work for page 1 and it just doesn't seem to translate very well. I don't know if its just me being moody or what, but it just doesn't do anything for me. And when i look forward, i'm just irritated by the entire proposed story arc. I've got to rethink this, because something just isn't working.
