Actually, C is for "Cricket", but you wouldn't know that to listen to Sam's new talking toy turtle...especially when he goes into one of his random button-smashing fits ( Read more... )

It's a combination of "B is for 'Bee'" and "C is for 'Cricket.'"
However, when Sam hits the B over and over again and follows with a single hit to C, the speaker box falls behind and you get "B is for 'B-icket;'" hence, "B is for 'Bigot.'"

My personal favorite turtle quote is, "Play with my legs!"
You'd have to see it.
It's very strange...Although not entirely surprising, given that it came as a hand-me-down from my somewhat-strange sister-in-law.

I had a pull-and-say when I was a kid (you pull the string, the arrow spins around and lands on an animal.) It was supposed to say things like "the cow says moo." Mine was overused, and got the point where it said "the chicken says baa" and "the horse says oink".

I'm very amused by Sam's turtle. He'll have an impressive vocabulary, anyway.

Sam has a See-N-Say like that, but it has a pull arm and he hasn't quite figured that one out yet.

He already has a ridiculously large vocabulary for a kid his age.
He's even started making up little songs.
"Daddy bye-bye, Ba-dul all done, Bear-bear nigh-night!" over and over and over again.
It's even somewhat-melodic.
He also inunciates with the occasional clap, point, blowing of raspberries or wave.
