I've probably watched/listened to Rent over 200 times by now, and today was the first time I understood Mimi and Roger's exchange in "Another Day".

He tells her he's not interested today, try her luck on another day. She says there's no day but today.

Since "no day but today" is a major recurring motif, I never got before that he's telling her try some other day, i.e. not today, and that's why she's replying as she is.

Darn. Now I just spent a lot of time I should have been reading a paper rewatching Rent.

Sorry. But I think it's *always* worth it to rewatch Rent ;)
