Awesome.  I think they are probably the only group that sound just as good live as on recordings, maybe even better live.  There was a couple songs I really wanted to hear, Anywhere Out of the World and Canatara, which they didn't do, but still it was excellent.  I'm sure those of you that were there would agree.

That new India Bistro on Davie is really quite yummy! (went there last night)

It's nice to see something in that location doing well. I'd say in the past 5 years there's been about 5 different restaurants, and there was never anyone in there. This place is always busy.

What's even more irritating about Telus is that when I phone and tell them I'm cancelling due to them not fixing it, I get some chick who's essentially like "ok, fine, you're disconnected, *click*" sort of an attitude, but when Jay phoned them this morning saying "fix it now or I'm cancelling now" for his internet connection, they're all like "OMG ( Read more... )

There seems to be an almost complete crowd turnover at Skank since I stopped going on a regular basis, which was about three years ago. There were very few familiar faces last night. A new generation, I suppose.

We're going to go look at a place or two today, as we will probably be buying a place soonish.

Holy crap, where did the last three months go?  I realized a couple of days ago I have to enrol in courses by the 19th, and I start again the first week of September.

Last exam marks, not so great, but still a pass = 76%
