I was having some cereal tonight, but there was only about a handful left. Normally you throw the cereal powder out right? Except Jim threw the powder right into the milk! All I can say is I'm not fond sludgy cereal milk.

I'm going to write a little bit today about one of my favorite pieces - the Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, by Ralph Vaughan Williams. This piece is just downright gorgeous. Its lush, captivating, both serene and turbulent, nostalgic, reverent... very emotional. The theme itself is by Tallis, who in his own right wrote very beautiful music ( Read more... )

BUT, I'm working on next years list:

1. Stay home more! This one will be hard, but I need to cut back on excessive socializing. Other standing social obligations will remain.

I'm not sure why, but it took me about two hours to restring my mandolin. An E string broke, and I got the brilliant idea that I wanted to replace the whole set. RIGHT AWAY. After running out and getting the strings, while dragging my mother and my husband with me, it took me another 2 hrs to figure it out for the second time how to get these ( Read more... )

Its mostly my fault for procrastinating and working under the assumption that I could book my flights using my Rapid Rewards credit whenever I want. Now instead of my flying down a day before Thanksgiving and leaving the Sunday after, I'm flying the Friday before and leaving the day after Thanksgiving! Time to go on a road trip! A simple Google search brings up all sorts of great websites on ghost towns. I mean, how cool is this? Its only a semi-ghost town, but it just looks freaking fantastic!
