I was extremely happy when I read that apokteino wrote a sequel to Bone… which, to me, is among the most beautiful stories that this fandom has ever produced.
In “Scarred”, I love how, in the beginning, Dean is the entire world for Castiel and then how his horizons begin to broaden with the passing of time. As the span of his emotions… how even pleasure, at first, is seen as “non-pain”, as something Castiel cannot quite fully comprehend or put a name on. Like he only knows pain and defines everything through it.
This is a hypnotizing tale of the discovery of sensations through Castiel’ eyes… his point of view that leads us through it all is engaging and, thanks to it, you’ll be able to experience the whirlwind of emotions Castiel goes through with much more strength and understanding.

If fossarian’s stories were cakes, I’d be savoring them slowly until the last bite and be sad but extremely satisfied once finished because of the lingering taste they would leave in my mouth.
Her prose is delightful and I love how she was able to depict Castiel’s falling in a truthful way, the sense of reality and disappointment of it all first. Pleasure is there too but it was not what came first and immediately and I liked how Castiel was *slowly* intoxicated by the taste of it in this story, finding it difficult to put a name on the sensation at first.

Sex pollen at its best: this story is definitely hot but there’s so much more than just pwp going on and electricskeptic manages to mix all these different elements effortlessly. A great piece of writing!

Summary: western AU. Dean Winchester is a bounty hunter, set to catch a group of killers in order to get the money and retire from the business. Castiel is another bounty hunter aiming for the rich businessman who pays that same group of killers to do his dirty work, but for personal reasons. They decide to work together. It doesn’t go as smoothly as it could.
The setting of this story is already amazing per se (the old west) but
janie_tangerine manages to make it even better telling a great adventurous haunting tale. You’re going to be easily sucked in the enthralling atmosphere she has depicted!
Title: (Love Is Like A) Heat Wave

Summary/Notes: There’s a heatwave in South Dakota, and Bobby’s house doesn’t have A/C. Spending the night on the porch seems a logical option.
This fic is the posterfic for hot. If you think the first paragraphs are already steaming enough, think again. It’s such a sultry progression until the perfect ending.
obstinatrix’s prose is so vivid and evocative, I advise you to take your sweet time to read this like I did and enjoy every single word.

This was such a joy to read and it combines the right amount of angst, fluff and sexy times… I think I want to draw hearts around it! I love how the author let us in into this world and, little by little, let us discover the characters and their past… how it has shaped them and made them stronger and who they are today. I particularly loved this paragraph: “Does it really matter?” Dean asks, rough, because there isn’t really an answer to that sort of question. It’s the only thing he’s really learned on the job, that the world is made-up of no-win scenarios, that you carve out tiny victories where you can and you make peace with yourself when you don’t. ♥
Title: When All is Lost and its sequel When the Road is as Dark as My Fears

I don’t usually read rape fics but I’m glad I decided to give this a try. It was really dark but I liked it, apokteino pictures all those intense emotions really well. The sequel is just the perfect following: the part that struck me the most is when Dean finally thinks about what happened, the repercussion of his actions and why he acted like that.

Finally, I want to end this with an 'oldie but (very very) goodie'... I think probably everyone and their mother in the fandom has read it but, in the case there's someone who still hasn't, I suggest they do it asap :)

Warnings: This is future!Castiel, so be prepared for Castiel/OFCs, drug use and alcohol abuse (hey, it’s all canon!). In addition there’s the odd bit of violence, some whump, muchas porning and very brief implied non-con (nothing graphic at all). Please be warned if you don’t like death!fics that this story is set after Dean had to kill Lucifer!Sam, so clearly there’s (a) no Sam and (b) some mourning. On the bright side, though, there's also a guest appearance from a real-life Hollywood star! (Well, sort of.)
One word for it: epic. I stayed home an entire Sunday just to finish this, I couldn't stop reading.

Summary: western AU. Dean Winchester is a bounty hunter, set to catch a group of killers in order to get the money and retire from the business. Castiel is another bounty hunter aiming for the rich businessman who pays that same group of killers to do his dirty work, but for personal reasons. They decide to work together. It doesn’t go as smoothly as it could.
The setting of this story is already amazing per se (the old west) but
janie_tangerine manages to make it even better telling a great adventurous haunting tale. You’re going to be easily sucked in the enthralling atmosphere she has depicted!

This was such a joy to read and it combines the right amount of angst, fluff and sexy times… I think I want to draw hearts around it! I love how the author let us in into this world and, little by little, let us discover the characters and their past… how it has shaped them and made them stronger and who they are today. I particularly loved this paragraph: “Does it really matter?” Dean asks, rough, because there isn’t really an answer to that sort of question. It’s the only thing he’s really learned on the job, that the world is made-up of no-win scenarios, that you carve out tiny victories where you can and you make peace with yourself when you don’t. ♥

I don’t usually read rape fics but I’m glad I decided to give this a try. It was really dark but I liked it, apokteino pictures all those intense emotions really well. The sequel is just the perfect following: the part that struck me the most is when Dean finally thinks about what happened, the repercussion of his actions and why he acted like that.

Warnings: This is future!Castiel, so be prepared for Castiel/OFCs, drug use and alcohol abuse (hey, it’s all canon!). In addition there’s the odd bit of violence, some whump, muchas porning and very brief implied non-con (nothing graphic at all). Please be warned if you don’t like death!fics that this story is set after Dean had to kill Lucifer!Sam, so clearly there’s (a) no Sam and (b) some mourning. On the bright side, though, there's also a guest appearance from a real-life Hollywood star! (Well, sort of.)
One word for it: epic. I stayed home an entire Sunday just to finish this, I couldn't stop reading.
