Half a year ago I wrote a
quite big entry full of Dean/Cas fic recs... in the meantime, I've kept on collecting links, so there you go the second installment of the series for those of you who are interested :)
By the way, you can find all of these links and more at
my delicious account. I've also opened a
rec blog on Tumblr in the meanwhile. And please let me know if there are any faulty links! Enjoy ♥

Ghost LightAuthor:
jollysnidgePairing: Castiel & Dean
Genre: Romance/Angst
Word count: 6,636
Rating: M
Summary: AU. Dean is honourably discharge after becoming a POW and being tortured for information, leaving him emotionally destroyed and physically warped. Sam buys a new 4NG3L series Apple Robot to keep Dean sane.
I loved the feeling of intimacy and the progression of the relationship… despite what/who Castiel is in this story, if felt really natural :)
Title:
Until We BleedAuthor:
jedimastercaitRating: T
Genre: angst
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Warnings: mentions of character death, spoilers for 6x20 ‘The Man Who Would Be King’.
Summary: He wonders if there’s a universe where Castiel doesn’t love Dean, if that’s even possible. He has yet to find it, if it does exist.
Such a bittersweet story… I can’t possibly conjure up a universe where Cas isn’t in love with Dean… he just wouldn’t be complete anymore, he wouldn’t be the Castiel we love.
This bit in particular killed me: He would give anything for his Dean to look at him that way, with such love and devotion.

Love in Every Stitch & its sequel
Gears We Never UseAuthor:
gedryPairings: Dean/Castiel
Rating: Nc-17
Word Count: 11,121
Spoilers: none
Warnings: Underage (both characters are in high school/17)
Summary: Written for
nicole_sill who won me in the help-japan auction. She asked for a Dean/Cas high school AU involving them being friends for a long time and Castiel falling in love with Dean and knitting him a sweater.
This is totally and utterly gorgeous! Achingly and deliciously sweet… I love the delicacy with which
gedry describes the characters’ feelings… the fierceness of their emotions is that one typical of the adolescence and yet it translates universally and speaks to the people of all ages.
Other gorgeous stories by
gedry that should be on your to read list are:

Scarred (sequel to
Bone)
Author:
apokteinoRating: NC-17
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Genre: hurt/comfort (mostly comfort, in this installment)
Spoilers: up to season five
Warnings: possible dub-con
Word Count: 8200
Summary: When a bone heals, a scar can remain, altering the bone forever. Castiel is broken, made so by Dean’s sure hand, but he can still be healed.
The prequel:
Bone (you should read this one first, if you haven’t already)
I was extremely happy when I read that
apokteino wrote a sequel to
Bone… which, to me, is among the most beautiful stories that this fandom has ever produced.
In “Scarred”, I love how, in the beginning, Dean is the entire world for Castiel and then how his horizons begin to broaden with the passing of time. As the span of his emotions… how even pleasure, at first, is seen as “non-pain”, as something Castiel cannot quite fully comprehend or put a name on. Like he only knows pain and defines everything through it.
This is a hypnotizing tale of the discovery of sensations through Castiel’ eyes… his point of view that leads us through it all is engaging and, thanks to it, you’ll be able to experience the whirlwind of emotions Castiel goes through with much more strength and understanding.

Not Like Your Gun |
Alternative link for non friends at Ao3Author:
fossarianRating: R.
Pairing: Dean/Castiel.
Spoilers: Season 6.
Warnings: References to Violence, Sexual Themes.
Word Count: 11,300.
Summary: Castiel crash lands to Earth and finds that problems are the same everywhere.
If
fossarian’s stories were cakes, I’d be savoring them slowly until the last bite and be sad but extremely satisfied once finished because of the lingering taste they would leave in my mouth.
Her prose is delightful and I love how she was able to depict Castiel’s falling in a truthful way, the sense of reality and disappointment of it all first. Pleasure is there too but it was not what came first and immediately and I liked how Castiel was *slowly* intoxicated by the taste of it in this story, finding it difficult to put a name on the sensation at first.
Title:
Unsuffer MeAuthor:
![](http://l-files.livejournal.net/userhead/168?v=1321020840)
janie_tangerinePairing/Characters: Dean/Castiel; Sam, Bobby
Rating: NC17
Warnings: deaf/scarred!Dean, angst galore in the beginning.
Spoilers: set post-apocalypse; general spoilers for S5, but nothing extremely specific after 5x04.
Word Count: 22000
Notes/Prompt(s): I used two out of five prompts: Dean suffers from some kind of permanent scar/injury. (Blindness, loss of a limb, facial scarring, whatever you like.) Castiel doesn't understand Dean's reaction very well: he still finds Dean attractive and always will; domestic stuff, preferably happy. Dean and Castiel live together, with bonus (as per specified) Sam and handprint!kink.
Summary: After the end of the world I just wanted to rest and chill out, not to re-build my life from scratch around the fact that I can’t hear shit and that I look like the fucking phantom of the Opera.
Another brilliant piece by
![](http://l-files.livejournal.net/userhead/168?v=1321020840)
janie_tangerine. This is the kind of apple pie life I have in mind for Dean...By the end, I was displaying the most idiotic silly grin on my face :)
Title:
Two Good ReasonsAuthor:
electricskepticFandom: Supernatural
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Spoilers: General season 6
Warnings: Language, explicit sexuality, mentions of off-screen violence
Word Count: 3300
Summary: The thing about bad ideas is, they often have this way of working out for the best.
Notes: I was feeling summer-y, and this just kind of happened. Vaguely AU future-fic in that it pretty much ignores the last three episodes of S6. Title from the Kinks.
This story is wonderful,
electricskeptic has such a way with words that is just utterly delicious in every possible sense. This story was equally sweet and hot and, as
![](http://l-files.livejournal.net/userhead/252?v=1321199849)
oddlyfamiliar wrote in
rec_hymenated, “It’s an AU future fic in which the last three episodes of Season 6 didn’t happen, so although it’s not technically an S6 fix-it fic, it certainly feels like it.”
Title:
God Is Gone, And The Devil Is MeAuthor:
oceansexRating: R
Genre: Romance/Downer
Pairings or Characters: Dean/Cas
Warnings: The End!verse, and all that that entails
Word Count: 3064
Summary: Cas falls and Dean breaks his promises. He was never good at keeping them, anyway.
This story broke my heart in so many pieces but it was nothing short of wonderful. It’s set in the The End!verse so consider yourselves warned.
Title:
Ghost dance Author: Omphalos
Rating: Explicit
Pairings or Characters: Dean/Cas
Warnings: Pre-narrative character deaths; depictions of brain damage and mental illness; major angst; minor elements of dub-con.
Summary: In post-apocalyptic isolation, Castiel nurses Dean back to something like his former self, but will a time come when Dean's recovered --and rediscovered-- too much?
Title:
Love the Sinner.
Author:
annundrielPairing: Dean/Castiel.
Rating: NC-17.
Word count: 1652 words.
Prompts: dirty talk, priests.
Summary: AU. Confession is supposed to be good for the soul. Father Castiel is beginning to have his doubts.
My oh my, this story is scorching! The dirty talk in this will literally undo you. If priest!Cas is your thing, this is definitely the right fic for you.
Title:
The Second Circle Author:
electricskepticRating: NC-17
Pairing/characters: Dean/Castiel, Sam
Spoilers: General S6
Warnings: Explicit sexuality, elements of dub-con (sex pollen)
Word Count: 5100
Summary: There’s nothing kinky or glamorous about this; it’s poison, working its way through his system slowly and methodically, and he has maybe fifty minutes left before it kills him.
Notes: This is intended to take place sometime between 6.12 and 6.15. Written for the ‘sex pollen’ square on my
hc_bingo card. Title is a reference to Dante’s Inferno, in which the lustful are condemned to the second circle of hell.
Sex pollen at its best: this story is definitely hot but there’s so much more than just pwp going on and
electricskeptic manages to mix all these different elements effortlessly. A great piece of writing!
Title:
Between Four WallsAuthor:
annundrielCharacters: Dean, Dean/Castiel
Rating: NC-17
word count: 1615
Notes: Set in “The End” ‘verse. Thigh holster porn.
Summary: Being a leader weighs heavy on Dean’s shoulders. He finds a way to relax. For
daggomus_prime, who is awesome. Based loosely on her
seriously hot piece of art.
The porn alone is very hot in this story (do I need to mention thigh holster/Dean?) but it’s possibly made even better by the 2014 atmosphere that pervades the narration.
Title:
Infinite for a Moment & the sequel,
I’m Forever YoursAuthor:
blualbinoRating: NC-17
Word count: ~1120 & ~1,600
Spoilers: None
Warnings: voyeurism, het (Castiel/FC and Dean/FC) | PWP
Summaries: Cas gets picked up. Dean watches
&
Dean has a really, really good idea about how to get Cas’ attention.
If the first story doesn’t already succeed in knocking you over, there’s always the sequel. Guh.
Title:
A Mighty Dark NightAuthor:
blue_fjordsRating: NC-17
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Word length: ~74,000
Warnings: violence, language and sex
Summary: Detective Dean Winchester meets Homeland Security Agent Castiel James over a corpse.
This is such a beautifully story! The pace of the narration is amazing and I loved how the author mixed the personal romantic aspect with the throughly thought investigative plot. If you want a story that combines these two aspects in a spectacular way, this is it!
Fic title:
The two faces of vengeanceAuthor name:
![](http://l-files.livejournal.net/userhead/168?v=1321020840)
janie_tangerinePairing: Dean/Castiel
Rating: NC17
Word count: 27000 ca
Warnings: violence, violence and then some violence, character death for a premise and happening throughout the fic, mention of a rape happened before the story starts but not graphic, torture (the act itself is not described in a graphic way, but the scene stops just before it), permanent disfugurement (consequences of previous warning), language (that might possibly be historically inaccurate, but otherwise it wouldn’t make the point). Also, every possible spaghetti western trope that you can come up with.
Summary: western AU. Dean Winchester is a bounty hunter, set to catch a group of killers in order to get the money and retire from the business. Castiel is another bounty hunter aiming for the rich businessman who pays that same group of killers to do his dirty work, but for personal reasons. They decide to work together. It doesn’t go as smoothly as it could.
The setting of this story is already amazing per se (the old west) but
![](http://l-files.livejournal.net/userhead/168?v=1321020840)
janie_tangerine manages to make it even better telling a great adventurous haunting tale. You’re going to be easily sucked in the enthralling atmosphere she has depicted!
Title:
(Love Is Like A) Heat WaveAuthor:
obstinatrixPairing: Dean/Castiel
Rating: NC-17
Words: ~2,500
Summary/Notes: There’s a heatwave in South Dakota, and Bobby’s house doesn’t have A/C. Spending the night on the porch seems a logical option.
This fic is the posterfic for hot. If you think the first paragraphs are already steaming enough, think again. It’s such a sultry progression until the perfect ending.
obstinatrix’s prose is so vivid and evocative, I advise you to take your sweet time to read this like I did and enjoy every single word.
Title:
AsunderAuthor:
rageprufrockRating: Explicit
Genre and/or Pairing: AU Dean/Cas.
Word Count: 23,817
Summary: Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (Matthew 19:6).
This is based - extremely, extremely loosely - on the Wedding Date.
This was such a joy to read and it combines the right amount of angst, fluff and sexy times… I think I want to draw hearts around it! I love how the author let us in into this world and, little by little, let us discover the characters and their past… how it has shaped them and made them stronger and who they are today. I particularly loved this paragraph: “Does it really matter?” Dean asks, rough, because there isn’t really an answer to that sort of question. It’s the only thing he’s really learned on the job, that the world is made-up of no-win scenarios, that you carve out tiny victories where you can and you make peace with yourself when you don’t. ♥
Title:
When All is Lost and its sequel
When the Road is as Dark as My FearsAuthor:
apokteinoRating: NC-17
Genre and/or Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Spoilers: up to 5.22
Warnings: graphic rape, abuse, and death of a major character - dark!fic.
Word Count: 3400 & 25,000
Summary: The end of 5.22 takes a slight AU turn, and Dean takes it out on the only person left - Castiel. & The sequel: Castiel is just beginning to recover from what Dean has done to him when a case arises - and the FBI gets involved.
I don’t usually read rape fics but I’m glad I decided to give this a try. It was really dark but I liked it,
apokteino pictures all those intense emotions really well. The sequel is just the perfect following: the part that struck me the most is when Dean finally thinks about what happened, the repercussion of his actions and why he acted like that.
***
Finally, I want to end this with an 'oldie but (very very) goodie'... I think probably everyone and their mother in the fandom has read it but, in the case there's someone who still hasn't, I suggest they do it asap :)
Title:
Thursday's ChildAuthor:
![](../../img/userinfo.gif?v=88.3)
strangeandcharmPairing: Dean/Castiel
Rating: NC-17
Word count: 114,000 (total); this part 13,720
Summary: Thursday’s child has far to go.
Notes: Spoilers for 5.04, 'The End'. So I got to wondering: what would have happened if past!Dean hadn’t turned up in 2014, and future!Dean had actually succeeded in killing Lucifer with the Colt? Apparently, it involves lots of angsting. Who knew?
Warnings: This is future!Castiel, so be prepared for Castiel/OFCs, drug use and alcohol abuse (hey, it’s all canon!). In addition there’s the odd bit of violence, some whump, muchas porning and very brief implied non-con (nothing graphic at all). Please be warned if you don’t like death!fics that this story is set after Dean had to kill Lucifer!Sam, so clearly there’s (a) no Sam and (b) some mourning. On the bright side, though, there's also a guest appearance from a real-life Hollywood star! (Well, sort of.)
One word for it: epic. I stayed home an entire Sunday just to finish this, I couldn't stop reading.
