CURED OF THE GAYNESS

Here's a heartwarming story of a man who is cured of his filthy, sinful homo life by Jesus.
What I take from this story:

1) Why was I never invited to a sex party when I was seven years old?

The thing that cracks me up about this line of thinking is that they lump homosexuality in with other tempting sins. These same sins are portrayed as something we all really want to do (drink, be violent, be depraved, etc.) but which make us more earthly and unfocused on God. So this means that all these fundies agree that man-on-man butt sex is something which they're constantly tempted to do. How does that jive with the "it's an abomination!" line of rejecting homosexuality?

I don't know about the other predominantly right-wing denominations of Christianity, but the official Catholic stance is that gay thoughts are acceptable, but participating in gay sex is horrible. If you can Jesus yourself into being straight, it's even better! It probably also makes them feel better about themselves to say that Christ himself was tempted by a sexy, sexy man-Satan.

Besides, I thought it was already a well-known fact that the worst of homophobes are far more likely to be closeted gays than the rest of the world's population.
