I'm glad that the time with the girls was good overall. I'm sure that offset the more stressful parts. I'm sorry that you may not get to see them again before the holidays set in though. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to have them far away when you were so used to having them with you for so long

I actually laughed some while reading your comments at MM.org, Cat, but mostly I was too busy being thrilled that you cared so damned much about the Weiss boys in the story. Only someone who has agreed to willingly suspend disbelief and go on the same journey with my muses could possibly feel as strongly as you do. {contented smile} It's wonderful

Am glad to hear the trip was a good one. I still haven't managed to get around to reading those latest chapters, since hubby's health went from bad to way better in the course of one night - which meant both of us caught up on a LOT of sleeping.
Isn't it such fun to bond with one's own bed after being away? I swear, it's the best part of coming home - even if it's just overtime at the office.
Dearest StarShadow, there is NEVER a rush to read my muses' latest noise when there is much needed rest to be had.... or time lovingly spent with that darling hubby of yours, either!
I'm glad he's doing better and, yes, sleeping in one's own bed is an underappreciated joy until a person goes without it for awhile. The other "best part" about coming home after being away is regaining all the little creature comforts. Like a cup of coffee whenever you damned well feel like one or even just a really long shower without interruption. Ah, paradise.
{hoping you don't worry about catching up on the fic for awhile since it probably won't grow any longer anytime soon, the llama sends huggles all around to his friends so far away}
Not worrying about catching up on fic, thanks much! Am more in ranty-mode at the OJ headlines taking over my Anderson Cooper's show in addition to Larry King and the CNN headline shows. AAAAAAGH!!
This is the closest I've seen to karmic backlash anywhere else. From a column at Freep.com about Notre Dame's poor football season. Excuse me if Notre Dame’s fall from grace strikes me as a dose of karmic retribution.

Well, that certainly sounds like a sports version of what I was going for with my title.
I've heard the term "karmic backlash" used by some people who believe that bad karma can catch up to you BEFORE death puts you back on the cycle of reincarnation. Otherwise, if all of Schwarz's evil was on the "lay away" plan of true karma, it would be a very long time before they suffered for it.
{looks at your icon and LAUGHS}
As if anyone needs to be quiet when MY muses are ranting?! Hell no! {chuckles a little more and then goes to return your call}
You're welcome!e_samaSeptember 19 2007, 03:05:39 UTC
{beams happily and then bows appreciatively before saying}
I'm so glad that I could surprise you with those cyber-chocolates! I was trying to think of a way to show you how very much I appreciate all your patience with my insane schedule which has kept me from reading and replying to your wonderful C&C's. Honestly, if I had a few extra hours to stay on top of things like that, I'd be less stressed out than I am. -_-;;
Regardless of all that, I hope to get through my inbox before Weisshund gets down here. Once he shows up, though, you can well imagine that nothing much more will get done online. {snickers} We really are useless at times when we're in the same place together, but isn't that how brothers are supposed to be?

Here's an icon to fight back with. After all, when life hands you OJ nonsense, you might as well go rock out with a Muppet and forget about it, ne?
