I can talk about Korean food ever so passionately, and forever too, haha... sorry that I made you hungry, haha. I do that to Dani too, especially since it's now "the new penicillin," in his words.

I miss you too! Whenever you come to College Park, we need to go to that Korean restaurant off of Route 1, the one right by that motel. That place actually isn't too shabby.

They're not so good.

They're horrible, yet I keep getting them for whatever reason! I need to remember to get their collard greens. I have no idea if diner collard greens actually taste the way they're supposed to, but they're pretty good to me.

OH god no...

I HATE kimchi.

I had some at a Korean Buddhist Temple, and it made me feel so sick I almost couldn't drive home. I think it's the ginger, i'm not a fan.

I actually don't like ginger that much either. This sucks because nowadays whenever my mom cooks soup, she chops up a ginger root, throws the chunks in the pot, and says that it's done. She also used to make me drink ginger tea whenever I had a sore throat. I can't stand drinking the stuff, but I swear that when I poured the stuff down the drain, my throat would feel so much worse ( ... )

Well, when i had it, it was cooked by the community for the monks, so it was a completely vegan meal, so everything was raw. Most of it was pretty disgusting. I suppose korean food is an acquired taste lol

Haha, I suppose it is an acquired taste, period. You also have to get used to looking at it. I know that when I once brought sesame leaves into work, two of my coworkers kept saying that it looked as if I had picked these leaves fresh off of a tree. Um, yeah.

I like kimchi, provided it doesn't have a ton of ginger in it. Again, I'm not a big fan of it, and I think I'm midly allergict to it (ginger, not kimchi), b/c when I eat it I get all sneezy.

Okay, I'm hungry...

Oh, along with what I mentioned above to KC, my mom also just likes eating... dried ginger. Yeah, I think it's disgusting somehow. I've never heard of a food making you sneeze, but I guess it definitely is an allergy then, haha.

I've actually purchased dried ginger because it is supposed to be good for helping with motion sickness. I took one bite and it felt like my entire mouth/nose were going to ignite. They were burning and then I sneezed for...a while, suffice-th to say, we still have almost a full bag of dried ginger in my house.

I like kimchi a little. I usually encounter it oversaturated with ginger, which is probably why I don't *love* it. I also don't usually love fermented food. but yeah, kimchi is ridiculously good for you. I hear eating it protects you from SARS too.

I swear that I'm going to live for a very long time thanks to this stuff. I've seen some of the relatives I have. They have been living for quite some time.
