Wimshurst Influence Machine
Jake von Slatt of Steampunk Workshop posted instructions for "the construction of an electrostatic generator of electricity, a Wimshurst Influence machine, using parts and materials commonly available at your local home center and hardware store." The parts are only $100 new, so it could be cheaper with used parts. I so want to make one!

Banned Books Week
Banned Books week starts today. I checked the list of top 10 challenged books of 2008 a few weeks ago, so I could line up the books I haven't read yet. I have already read 6 of them.

I finished listening to To Say Nothing of the Dog today. Thanks for the tip, penwiper337! It was a fun read/listen. I am now going to listen to the Southern Vampire series starting with the first one. I listened to one or two a few years ago, but they were in the middle of the series.
