Last night we decided to go and see a movie. We were going to go and see "The War Within", which is about a normal guy raised in western culture who comes under the influence of terrorists that convince him he should become a suicide bomber. We are still in Vancouver and will be here for another couple of days at least. We found a car that we liked, and managed to talk the dealer down $3000. It is a Mazda Protege 5 2003, So we put a deposit on it and waited for Mazda to do the inspection. We also arranged for BCAA to do an independent inspection on it just to be sure. We caught a flight to Vancouver on the 5th. It was a really short flight, it only took two hours! Compared to the 26 hours that it would have taken to go by bus we figured that spending an extra 20 bucks per person was well worth it. It is just unbelievable how much nicer it is to fly. We have seen a fair bit of the city now. Yesterday we spent most of the day on our feet. We went to the Fishermans Wharf, which is one of the Piers. It was absolutely packed, as it is very popular with the tourists as well as with the local sea lions! Our last day in Rarotonga was a wash out - quite literally in fact. We had another day of pouring rain, so didn't get to do any more snorkelling in spite of the fact that Sarah had rented the snorkel equipment the day before, which kind of sucked.
