So it's been more than a long time. Work is going great. I always hoped that I would end up with a job that I enjoy going to, and I found it. It's amazing how fast time flies now. So I've been working now for 2 weeks. And I love it. I'm still trying to learn about the products that we (advanced laser systems) makes. It's mostly eyesafe laser rangefinders for militaries, but they have made a few medical lasers in the past. They are starting a few new projects (sorry, can't say what), but they are really cool. Been a while, so what. You should be used to it. Life has been crazy. Last week was nothing but senior design. I had to get my project working, the paper written, and the presentation done in a few days. Everything got done with a few hours to spare, and I pulled an A in the class. Graduation is Monday. Things seem to be getting easier. Could be the calm before the storm, but I'll take it. My power systems class had been cancelled for about 2 weeks, so classes have been a breeze. I was able to finish my senior design board, so now I just have to wait to get it made. I've been applying to different jobs, but still haven't heard anything back yet. ( Read more... )

Busy weekends are the best. Friday I went to the Robinson Observatory on campus (largest telescope in Florida). My friend Paul has been trying to get me to go to one of the training nights there so I can learn how to use it. It was a lot of fun learning how to move the 4000 pound telescope around, and now all I have to do is schedule a individual ( Read more... )
