1. You were one of my first LJ friends. It was a good way to get to know you better. 2. The color blue 3. Your self-awareness is blistering sometimes, and you use it to better yourself. I deeply appreciate that. 4. Conversations in parking lots that last way longer than intended but are so good that we just can't seem to go home. 5. The best friend in any 80s romantic comedy 6. How do you really feel about your high school experience and high school in general? Would you do it over again, and would you do anything differently? 7. The one with the blue hair
1. I actually waited to friend you until you friended me. 2. Pirates. The color black. 3. Your ability to be cynical and dark and yet cute and cuddly all at the same time. A delightful contradiction. 4. Drunken game of Spin the Bottle on New Year's Eve. You could not stop smiling. It was great. 5. I agree with _earthshine_. You are your own character. 6. So...how's that whole online dating thing going for you? I will accept this response in an email if you'd rather not share with the whole world;) 7. The swirly, colorful, smoky profile one.
Awww... I miss you, too.earthfiregirlMay 17 2007, 03:11:53 UTC
1. I felt like we knew each other well enough to share my journal with you, which can be pretty private sometimes. 2. Good hugs. 3. Your gentleness. The way you love your wife and take care of her. 4. That time at Dave's place when Nicole was very upset and you trusted me to take care of her without any hesitation. I was honored. 5. Much like the good Reverend, you are your own character. 6. Tell me about your wedding. I didn't know you then and I've always meant to ask.
1. We finally met in person and I realized who you were! We are busy girls and LJ helps us keep in touch between parties. 2. Pixies. 3. Is there anything I don't like about you? If I had to pick my favorite, it would be your resilance. 4. Last year when you kept me at the cookout about 2 hours after I tried to leave. The conversation was too good! 5. Tonks 6. Tell me the story of La's name. How/why did you choose it? 7. Aren't we just the little freak of nature?
1. LJ seemed the only way to get to know you. I can count on two hands the number of times I have seen you since we met. 2. Associate you with something - a song, a colour, a photo, etc. 3. Your openness, sensitivity and ability to respect all sides of an issue. I also like that you are a little crazy. I appreciate that in a friend:) It makes me feel less alone. 4. I ever attended my first /\/orth show before I knew anyone from this circle of friends. I went with Christine and Ian. You were so friendly to me. You seemed genuinely appreciative that someone new had come to a show. I will never forget that. And then there was that time at Pizza House when you met Jen Sygit for the first time and said, "You're Jen Sgyit!?" so loudly that most of the table stopped talking and looked at her, making her feel like a rock star. It was great. 5. An introspective medieval knight on an unending quest 6. What is your dream job? 7. Your default.
1) Yeah... it's sad but true. My entire motivation for getting on LJ in the first place was to keep in touch with folks i knew but hardly ever saw because of changes in my life (family, job, kids, house). You're one of the folks i wish i'd known years ago... but i'm very very grateful that we at least have a forum to continue to get to know each other! Hopefully, in time, we'll rack up more RL fun times to go with it.
2) Hey... do i get one? :D
3) I take all of those as high compliments. Thank you!
4) *laugh* I'm glad the effect was positive. Some people might be really annoyed by that kind of faux pas on my part...
5) Wow... again, a high complement... tho the road implied is not an easy one... and i think you're absolutely right in that implication. :)
6) Well, i figure anyone's dream job is one where they're paid lucratively to do exactly what they'd do if they didn't need to work. :) In that case, it'd be some kind of crazy arts-related freeform thing where i could compose, record, write, travel, photograph,
( ... )

2) Hey... do i get one? :D Sorry! I missed that one. For some reason, I keep thinking of Dar Williams' "The Ocean"
4) *laugh* I'm glad the effect was positive. Some people might be really annoyed by that kind of faux pas on my part... It was awesome. Your unabashed enthusiasim is one of the things that make you _earthshine_ and I love it.
