i've just re-read neuromancer. a conservative estimate would be ten years since i've read it, but guessing most likely the last time would have been around 92. thirty minutes working for domino
i've been spoilt of late with my journeys home and had forgotten the thrill of waiting in the middle of nowehere, with not even passing motorists for company, for a nightbus which goes once every half an hour. stress
ok. lets be clear about this from the off. i really enjoyed studying and working towards the course and exams the last few weeks. really enjoyed it indeed. actually setting myself a difficult target and focusing on achieving it has been great. and fingers crossed i'll pass my practitioner exam and have not just what I've learnt but something ( Read more... ) -
prince2 - day 5
So the exam on Friday morning. Did a fair bit more revision on the Thursday night and got carried away resulting in not getting to sleep 'till gone 1am. It's probably the longest exam I've ever done, 3 hours, and not a second to spare on it. It was also the quickest 3 hours of my life, just solid concentration the whole way through. i've started making prince2 jokes, where i'm defining every action, every aspect of life, by it's equivalent prince2 process, component, product or rule. i guess this is a sure as sign as any as i've finally cracked the thing. i have to say, i'm converted. completely. i'm as sceptical about self-referential systems as any but this can be built up ( Read more... ) -

Product Based Planning. Finally clicked at around 1.15pm. A line in the manual about being able to also represent Product Breakdown Structures as spider diagrams and not just the "family tree" type top-down approach and suddenly the various layers no longer had their sequential bias.
