got the strangest call at work today. a "colleague" phones me and starts asking a bunch of questions about how the reports I run at work function and the administrative structure backing of our IT systems. after about 5 minutes she lets me know that she doesn't actually work in Ealing anymore and needs to crib up for a job interview somewhere else ( Read more... )

Didn't get the job. Didn't find out until today as they were finalising details with the person who did. Came a close second, whatever that means. Taking the positives I interviewed very well, which is a marked improvement from my position just a few months ago. So I had another job interview yesterday and, shock horror, it went ok! The only potential hiccup outside the quality of the other candidates is their concern that the pay scale isn't higher than the one i'm currently on.
