Oct 15: All Roads Lead To Rome
Docked at Civitavecchia, Italy at 7 am. The land tours all begin at this unearthly hour, much to my dismay. I don't even wake so early during the weekday, much less while on vacation, but I didn't have much choice. Oct 14: Day at Sea
We have left Barcelona and are now sailing across to the Italian port city of Civitavecchia. Took the opportunity to explore this huge ship. 13 October - The Cruise Begins
We checked out of the hotel and cabbed over to the harbourfront, which was at the end of the Las Ramblas stretch, not too far from the hotel. Day 3 - October 12: Barcelona
It was a beautiful, bright sunny day as we left the hotel. We had brunch at the Las Ramblas area - unfortunately at a very bad and very overpriced restaurant again, but we didn't really have much choice was we were already in the area. Day 2: Oct 11 - Barcelona
We walked over to the Las Ramblas area - it was very lovely but oh-so-touristy. We soon learned that the restaurants lining the area were tourist traps, charging exhorbitant fees for bad food. Barcelona
We arrived in Barcelona after a pleasant-enough flight, with one stopover in Milan. The much-touted new plane in the Singapore Airlines fleet, the 777-300ER, was not that impressive for those of us in cattle-class; while the pitch of 32" and seat width of 19" are some of the best available in economy class seating, the fairly tight ( Read more... ) -

The Miss Teen USA contest was held last Saturday night, but almost no one remembers who won, as everyone was too busy remembering what happened when Miss Teen South Carolina was interviewed. I feel bad for the poor girl, her tongue continued talking even when her brain froze...
