Rant: I seriously dislike authors who take other author's creations and write something else about them. They NEVER do it well. Take, for example, Geraldine Brooks' contemporary novel March, which won the Pulitzer Prize. It's a conceptualization of the Civil War from the POV of Mr. March, the father from Little Women. Jack Kibler died this morning. He was a psychology professor at Mary Baldwin, and aside from Dr. Anastasiou, was my closest mentor and friend in that department (they were best friends, and kind of came as a package deal). I stayed up all night writing my Cyprus paper. I printed it out this morning, along with Lauren's Mem&Cog paper she e-mailed me from home, and I went out at around 7 to drop them off on Dr. Anastasiou's door.
