[Souji's sitting under a tree in the orchard with his comm device. He's been here awhile now, and has noticed something that, to him, is really odd.]

Is the weather always clear like this, here?

[He might have been intending to say more but there is an apple like...two feet away from him on the ground and clearly it needs to be eaten, stat.]

It's a little weird.

[QB jumps down and lands neatly on Souji's shoulder.]

Normally if such weather persisted for any amount of time there would be incredible natural backlash. All the plants would wither and die!

They look fine though.

[Souji puts up a hand to steady Kyubey, though he probably doesn't need it.]

[Nah, he is an expert shoulder-rider.]

I have watched, and no-one ever waters these plants. Something else must sustain them.

Maybe the same thing that makes the food in the dining room.

It's very likely.

[He jumps off, and gathers up his own fallen apple to eat, in little voracious bites. He doesn't seem to care about tasting or enjoying it.]

[Souji watches him for a minute, thinking and chewing on a piece of grass.]

Are you able to sense things that humans can't?

Hmmm...

I wouldn't say that I can. I don't have a "sense" that humans don't have, like a sixth sense. I can, however, see things that some humans can't see, or other things that I simply know when humans do not.
