Belated congratulations re Thomas! (And good luck re Robert and school.)
No such exciting news on this end. (Still married, same job, no kids. :-) ) Just made our way back from visiting my parents for Passover, several days late due to my being laid low most of this week by the Martian Death Flu. (Assuming what I had was this year's flu strain, which I admit I'm only assuming, I don't recommend it.)
Mom was on a trip with friends for Easter. I see her most Sundays, though -- drive from the Bronx to Brooklyn with the kids, go to church, see her and my younger sister, let the kids run around in gym, and sometimes go back to her house afterwards.
We had Easter with my sister at Mom's house, which is convenient to church where we went to Easter services and where the kids hunted eggs (plastic shells containing jellybeans) after services. It was quite nice even without my mother, actually.
Kindergarden? Ack. Not quite as bad on the “where does all the time go/I’m getting old” scale as somebody I first knew at 10 going off to Columbia, but still up there.
Also a reminder that I haven’t seen you in ages. If I made an actual attempt at reviving the D&D game, would you be interested?
I don't think we've met in person since Thomas was born, so -- ack, yes. It's been too long.
I spent several months of that time in social withdrawal due to bedbugs. ::( It's been a year and they're still gone, so not a concern except insofar as that's one of the reasons we would need to dig out the dining room table.
I would definitely be interested in a revival of the D&D game, or a different game. Social activity coming to me is a yes. RP would be a plus, as would a genuine need to dig out the dining room table.
If a gathering at my place fails to happen, though, we should get together sometime in Manhattan and talk and play Set.
