it's a damn good system, but then you always get people moaning at you if they're not able to read *all* your posts

Simple - they moan, they're not worthy of being on there at all. :D

At the end of the day, I'll share what I want with who. If I'm shown I can trust someone, they get to see more. If they show me I can't trust them, they get to see less.

If they cut from MY lj and paste to their own (and it wasn't a PUBLIC post they copied from) I'll get rather annoyed!
