Sans Tonsils.. Finally!

Ok, my tonsils are now out. It was a longer process than I imagined, as I had to stay overnight in the hospital. But, I was lucky enough to get the room to myself, so i didn't have to worry about a stranger blasting their tv and what not all night. I am now home with my mom, who is taking care of me and medicating me. The doctors FORGOT to give me

I've always wanted to know... a lot of people I know have had their tonsils out and I'm never sure why? (I haven't had mine out myself, even though I got strep nearly twice a year like clockwork for years.)

People have them out for many reasons. they can be huge and cause sleep aapnea, or always infected (which mine were 24 hours a day). I am happy they are out.. but soooo loopy.. and stuck on liquid/soft diet T.T
